Educational Testing Service (ETS) and Smart Education are pleased to announce that we have recently completed an important research project on the TOEFL® Primary™ assessment. The TOEFL Primary assessment is a paper-based reading and listening test as well as a computer-based speaking test for students ages 8–12.

The TOEFL Primary field testing was conducted in April and May 2013 to over 4,000 students in 19 countries. The field test provides extremely valuable information so that the TOEFL Primary test can launch successfully (tentatively Q4 in 2013).

Five hundred students from 20+ primary schools in Hong Kong and Macao participated in the TOEFL Primary field test. The following summarizes the results of students from Hong Kong and Macao:
